The film tells the tale of the Toledo Water Crisis of 2014 as well as exploring the causes of the algal blooms that formed in western Lake Erie that forced the City of Toledo to declare its tap water unsafe to use.

The film will be released on the ten year anniversary of the Water Crisis, August 2, 2024. The company is also releasing a trailer for the film today.
Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz spoke eloquently on the need for better regulation of concentrated animal feeding operations in the Maumee River Watershed, as well as the improvements the City of Toledo has made to the water system in order to protect against the toxins produced by algal blooms in Lake Erie’s Western Basin.
It was a delight meeting Kim, an activist with Lake Erie Advocates, and learning about her experience during the Toledo Water Crisis of 2014 and how it brought her to be a part of the group.
